Berit is a quiet beauty

Berit says hello

 Since May, the Lords of the Arctic exhibit at the Cincinnati Zoo has been a little lonely for Berit. Her best friend Rizzo moved to a new home in the Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake City. The two girls used to cuddle up together for their naps. Now Berit has to rely on Lil One for company. Zookeepers tell me that Berit may be smaller, but she is in charge. She is the boss of Lil One.


Seit Mai hat the Lords of the Arctic Ausstellung im Cincinnati Zoo ein wenig einsam für Berit. Ihre beste Freundin Rizzo in ein neues Eisbärengehege im Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake City, Utah. Die beiden Mädchen zum kuscheln gemeinsam für ihre Nickerchen. Jetzt Berit hat nur Lil One für einen Freund. Tierpfleger erzählen mir, dass Berit kann kleiner sein, aber sie ist der Boss.

 Berit was born in the Denver Zoo. Her parents were also the parents of the famous Klondike and Snow polar bear twins born in 1994 and raised by hand. Sadly, Berit's sister Snow died  in August. Snow's twin brother Klondike is living in Orlando Sea World.

Sie wurde im Denver Zoo geboren. Ihre Eltern waren auch die Eltern des berühmten Klondike und Snow Eisbären Zwillinge geboren 1994 und aufgewachsen mit der Hand. Leider starb Berit Schwester Snow in August. Schnee Zwillingsbruder Klondike in Orlando Sea World leben.

Lil One (right), who will be 23 years old on December 13, weighs about 800 pounds. Berit (on the rock) weighs about 700 pounds. She will be 14 years old on December 28.

Lil One, der sein 23 Jahre alt wird am 13. Dezember, wiegt ca. 360 kg. Berit wiegt ca. 320 kg. Sie wird 14 Jahre alt am 28. Dezember.

 Berit is the granddaughter of Olaf and Olga of the Omaha Zoo, so she is the neice of Bam Bam of the Omaha Zoo and Patches of the Erie Zoo. 


Berit ist die Enkelin von Olaf und Olga von Omaha Zoo, so ist die Nichte von Bam Bam der Omaha Zoo und Patches des Erie Zoo.
